"Thank you, thank you, thank you. What a superb job you did. You planted each plant in exactly the right place, positioned each rock perfectly and cleaned everything up. The pond is gorgeous and just opens up the whole fron yard. It looks like it has been here forever."

"Careful Planning, Care and Pruning Will Keep Your Landscaping Looking Its Best"

PREPARATION is one of the most important considerations in establishing successful planting. You should learn which plants will grow well in your particular environment. Is the site sunny or shady, wedt or dry? Is the soil light or heavy? We can help you with this, and with selectign which kids of plants will flourish and thrive in your yard.

PLACEMENT is an important consideration, as well. Planting shrubs and trees too close to the house will alter their growth and prevent them from taking on their natural shape. This can even result in structural problems to your home, as the plants roots and branches are unable to grow sufficiently due to lack of space.

PROPER CARE is essential for your landscaping. Initially, watering is most important. Too much or too little will do equal damage. Always mulch plantings with 2 - 4 inches of bark, peat, straw, or compost. This will help the soil retain moisture, guard against soil temperature fluctuations and inhibit the germination of weed seeds. As mulch decomposes, it adds organic matter to the soil, improving its tilth. Fertilizer is another important aspect regarding proper care. How much or how little fertilizer you use depends upon the type of fertilizer and the condition of the plant.

CAREFUL TRIMMING AND PRUNING will encourage the optimal growth or your plants. It will check overgrowth, maintain the siaze and shape of the plant, and, for flowering shrubs and trees, encourage blossowming. Many homeowners will plant specimens too large for the site, thus requiring constant and heavy pruning. This rarely looks as nice as naturally smaller, lightly pruned shrubs and trees do.
