This is where the design process starts and where both the designer and customer exchanges information about each other and the site to see if the project is a fit for both parties. During this visit we will look at your property as a whole and give you some ideas and suggestions on how to create the yard you desire. This is a great opportunity not only to check out your yard but also to get information from the customer on what styles they like, what type of activities they see themselves using their yard for, and how much they value their yard. The designer will show you our portfolio and potentially projects that are similar to what you might be interested in.
After the consultation is completed the designer will come back with the proper tools to both measure and analyze the site. The better the designer understands the existing site the longer the installation will last and the more successful the design will be. This is the step where we take in to consideration the way the sun travels across the site, wind exposure, drainage, grading challenges, health of existing plant material, soil conditions, and anything else that pertains to the new design of the site.
After the site analysis is complete the designer can begin putting the vision discussed with the customer down on paper. The designer will use all the information received from the customer such as project goals, budget, etc. and the site analysis to develop a plan that meets all the client's needs in a beautiful and practical manner.
Our designers are also project managers and will make sure that the original intent and expectations are met during the installation process. We have put together a group of foreman and laborers that we are proud to have working for us and that work exceptionally well as a team. Everyone who is working on the project will understand the intent of the design and the process we will be taking to make the vision of the homeowner and the designer come to life. The contractors we use for any of the work we do not install in house are picked to match the reputation of our quality of work.
